Adult Training Program (ATP)

What is the ATP Program?

The Adult Training Program (ATP) assists individuals with severe disabilities in development resulting from mental impairments, cerebral palsy, seizure disorders, autism, or other neurological impairments. ATP provides clients with an individualized program that provides for experiencing activities of daily life.  The Adult Training Program is a site-based, personal goal-oriented program of developmental and therapeutic services designed to develop, maintain or increase an individual's independent functioning in self-care, physical and emotional growth, socialization, communication, educational, prevocational skills and community integration.

These services include:  Community Integration

                                        Recreation

                                        Basic Education

                                        Living Skills

In past years, ATP has participated in such activities as volunteer work for Fourth and Hope and helping at the local food bank, just to name a few. They have done outings to Davis Explore It, Cache Creek Nature Preserve, Crocker Art Museum and other outings that the clients not only enjoyed but provided a great learning experience as well.

How are Services Initiated?

Most clients are sponsored by the Alta California Regional Center, which functions under a contract with the State Department of Developmental Services. Therefore, the first step would be to call the Regional Center to ensure one's qualifications and sponsorship. The number of the office serving Yolo County is (530) 666-3391.
